What do you want to do with your life?
Whether this question brings to mind a detailed, multi-decade plan for your future or anxiety about not having an answer…or maybe something somewhere in between, if you are a college student, you are well acquainted with this question.
Inherent to this question is the idea that people should do something with their lives. The life that one lives should produce something, but what one’s life should produce is up for debate. Maybe it’s wealth, comfort, and security. Maybe it’s service, generosity, and meaning. Maybe it’s experiences, pleasure, and excitement. Maybe it’s religion, worship, and righteousness.
In John 15, Jesus says that our lives should produce fruit. While this is not in direct conflict with any of the previously stated potential produce of our lives, it also doesn’t fit directly into any of those molds, either.
At Fall Retreat 2026, we will explore this Fruitful Life described by Jesus. How do we know that we are living a life that will produce fruit? How do we know that this fruit is good? Or the right kind of fruit? What does a Fruitful Life look like? What about an unfruitful one?
Join us October 2-4 at Faholo to explore these questions, worship together with college students from across the state, and build community with those who want to live fruitful lives together while in college.
