Hello New Life,

Parents, we are in the home stretch with a single digit on the countdown until summer break.  What college students embraced a month ago we too are about to receive. May you finish strong, transition smoothly, and celebrate well as families.

Sunday, we kicked off our 6-part series on the letter to the Church in Ephesus.  The Message version of Ephesians 1:23 says “The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.”

With summer rhythms coming upon the whole church, this verse is poignant, encouraging, and challenging.  Summer life is a break from the normal schedules.  Through jobs, camps, LT, sports, vacations, events, family gatherings, and travel in general we all encounter a lot of new people.  What an opportunity to fill those encounters with his presence!  What a season to live sent!  What an age to be alive as Christ’s body!

Vibrant is Christ alive in us.  May it be true of you this summer.

Be strong and courageous,

Jay Bennett,
