Our family had the privilege of attending our NLC Beach Day this past Saturday at Independence Lake County Park, and there was just something about spending a beautiful Saturday afternoon together with our church family in a beautiful place that brought me great joy. There was volleyball, spikeball, ultimate frisbee, hnefatafl (viking chess), a ball in a sling thing, hotdogs and snacks and desserts, great conversations, and many shenanigans among the children and adults. Thank you to everyone who brought food and activities, and a special thank you to Bethany Wolcott for planning the event! It was yet another one of those moments that made me say I love our church :)
