“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
- Psalms 27:13
Hello Church Family! I’ve been mediating on this verse from Psalm 23 recently. There is something about David’s confident proclamation that no matter what happens in life, he is sure he will experience the goodness of God in this life. There is so much pain, sin, and heartache in this life, isn’t there? There are countless ups and downs and honestly it can often feel like way more downs than ups (I’m sure David felt that way frequently). Yet, there is something inspiring about a person who has chosen in faith to believe they will see the goodness of God in the land of the living. I believe our world desperately needs such people of hope, sources of light in all the darkness. Let’s be such a people, New Life; let’s confidently proclaim with David that we too will see the goodness of God in the land of the living! I wonder what sort of effect that posture will have in our lives, in our church, and to all those around us.
