Dear Church,

I wonder what it would look like for us to be a truly courageous church this Fall? On an individual level, whenever I feel “stuck” it is usually because I have a hard decision to make, and there is a cost I am afraid to pay. What about you? Where do you feel stuck? Where do you need courage to move forward?

When Jesus paid the ultimate price for us, He ransomed us from sin and death. And if sin and death cannot hold us, what else is there to be afraid of? We are a free people, and it is our distinct privilege to love at great cost alongside the one who loved us first. With Him, we rise above the anxieties of the Age and begin to live a life worthy of the calling we have received.

May it be so.
