Church Planting Spotlight

Church planting is our passion. Over the next few bulletins, we’ll highlight the churches we’ve started. This week, Pastor Chris Gentz shares an update on H20 Kalamazoo.

This is H2O's 7th year on campus at WMU and God has been moving in amazing ways. In the Fall we had 29 people go on Fall Retreat. Fifteen of these people have never been before. One young woman who joined hadn’t accepted Jesus yet, and started coming because a classmate invited her to H2O. She placed her faith in Christ in November! We also have our first WMU intern - Ashton - and he has been thriving on campus.

Second semester kicked off with a winter retreat where we joined New Life in Ann Arbor with 22 people from our church. We stayed overnight in the Frieze House and it was a great kickoff to the semester! More students than ever are consistently getting TAWG - time alone with God (aka quiet time), pursuing prayer, and living on mission. In the past 2 months, we have seen 5 people trust in Jesus and many friends get invited to come hear Good News at our services and small groups. We had 24 young men and women join us on our 2 spring break trips (more than double from last year). We are sitting at the feet of Jesus and loving one another and praying for God to move, and He is answering! It has been a rich time! Thank you, Jesus, for your work in this church and for helping young ones see and know and follow You! Pray with us for more and for His Kingdom to come at WMU and in Kalamazoo.

Your brother and co-laborer,

Gentz
