Today is the day after Easter. The day after we celebrate and remember the resurrection of Jesus thousands of years ago.

After a big event, we often experience lots of different feelings depending on our personalities. Maybe we are still excited from the previous day, or perhaps we feel worn out from hosting and ready for a break. Or maybe you fasted in some way over the 40 days of Lent and now you're ready to jump back into whatever that was.

One way or another, things notoriously seem bent on wiggling back to normal. The point of Easter, though, is fundamentally different. Because Jesus rose from the dead, things will never be the same again! Today is the day after Easter, but after Easter is a new beginning.

May the hope of Jesus rest powerfully and freshly with you today as you begin the work God has for you today, secure in the powerful love of God, and equipped with the kind of hope our suffering world really needs.
