Hello Church,

We are renewed by the Spirit through Scripture and Prayer. As the fall pace picks up with assignments, activities, and responsibilities, I want to encourage you to stay rooted by weaving God’s Word and prayer into your everyday rhythm.

Be creative with it:

Listen to Scripture on the Bible App while commuting to work or biking across campus.

Meditate on a verse by setting it as your phone’s lock screen.

Set reminders throughout the day to stop and pray even at stoplights, crosswalks, or while waiting for class to begin.

Take five minutes for listening prayer when you rise in the morning and before you rest at night.

Put Bible reading and prayer on your calendar as the most important appointments of your week.

The more I pray about this semester and year for our church, the clearer the call becomes: “Read and pray. Be in My Word. Come to Me often.”

Church, the Father loves you and longs to spend time with you. Renewal isn’t just something we wait for, it’s available to us daily as we seek Him. May we grow in our hunger for His Word and our joy in speaking with Him throughout the day.

Be strong in the Lord,

Jay, on Behalf of the Elder and Minister Team
