I read this passage recently that I felt moved to pray over our church:
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).
It’s amazing that we have eternal comfort and good hope from the God of the universe is it not? May you have a courageous heart this week and strength in opportune moments for good. We’ve been talking about the importance of life-on-life discipleship this year. I’d love to encourage you to pray this passage over the people in your home groups and discipleship groups and to also look for opportunities to offer comfort, hope, encouragement, and strength to your brothers and sisters from the abundance that God provides. God may just use you to be an answer to that prayer!
