Good morning, church!
Yesterday we had the opportunity to celebrate all that God has done in and through our church over the past year. My question for you today is, “What has the Lord done in and through your life this year?” How has he been working in your life to shape you more into His image?
One of my favorite worship songs is “Waymaker” because it reminds me of the important truth that “even when I don’t see it he’s working, even when I don’t feel it he’s working, he never stops, he never stops working.” Throughout Scripture we see this play out time and time again. When Joseph was unjustly put in prison the Lord was working. When the spies crept into the Promised Land and saw giants the Lord was working. While Goliath was defying the armies of the living God, the Lord was working. And while Jerusalem sat in ruins after being conquered by Babylon the Lord was working.
God’s work in our lives doesn’t always look like what we expect, but that doesn’t mean the work isn’t happening. Philippians 1:6 says, “I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” The Lord has done work in your life this year, so I encourage you to take some time to reflect on and celebrate that work this morning.
And remember, He never stops working,
