Hello Church,
If I’m writing the opening for the bulletin, as you’ve come to expect, we’re going to talk about the weather.
Summer… it’s the best… there isn’t a whole lot to add to that… it’s the truth…There appears to be some forest fire issues with our neighbors to the north. Yes, I’m not a fan of the smoke and it’s been a great reminder to pray for help. While it has meant we spend more time indoors than we normally would at this time of year, I’m not worried I could see my home lost to fire. I’ve been asking God to protect people and their livelihood's and my eyes are open to see how He’ll come through.
As we still have time to enjoy the daylight into the evenings and temperatures that don’t require us to wear jackets, my prayer is that these will allow us unique connections with family, friends, and Jesus.
Thank you God for summer and please be with our Canadian friends who battle flames…
