Dear Church,
In the last week, I have heard people from all over the country and the world talking about you. Eyes wide with a smile starting at the corners of their mouths, they muse about how kind and hospitable you are. They talk about how genuine you are. They seem stunned that you ask about their lives and look them in the eye like you really want to hear the answer. They tell stories of how you welcomed them right away, fed them, served them, laughed with them, and worshiped with them in a way that felt both unforced and relatable.
At New Life, authentic relationships are our way of life. We don’t say that value aloud very often because authenticity isn’t something you announce; it’s something you exude. But you, church, are authentic.
When guests in our community look at you, what they really see is Jesus. Every week I watch you re-present Him, and it is a wonder to behold.
Keep shining,
Kyle, on Behalf of the Elder and Minister Team
