Dear New Life,
By now, most of us are in the thick of our new fall rhythms. I think that rhythm is something we get from our Creator. But with rhythm comes routine. With routine, can sometimes come almost an automated form of self-reliance. Without really even thinking about it, we assess the obstacles ahead of us and simply do our best to overcome them.
But I want to encourage you with two verses today to help us live differently.
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”Proverbs 16:9 NIV
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."1 Peter 5:7 NIV
Instead of falling into a routine of self reliance, let's lean into the gift we have of a father who always cares and is always listening and simply ask Him for what we need.
