I attended what is now New Life as a college student 1988-1992. My wife E.J. and I moved back to Ann Arbor in 1998, and have been a part of New Life since then. Our three boys grew up seeing college students who love Jesus, and they were all baptized at New Life.
I have been involved in many lay leader roles at New Life over the past 28 years, including the Fiduciary Board and Finance Committee, and I was part of the financial advisory group that recommended selling the Frieze House due to the annual cost of maintaining both of our church buildings.
Similar to Rick, I am now a proponent of asking God to raise the funds to take care of both buildings. About a year ago I teamed up with Rick and Betsy to work with an outside consultant to help create the Next Gen campaign. E.J. and I have seen God change hundreds of lives through New Life, and we have been encouraged to see the Frieze House used for home groups, Bible studies, and a place for students and City folks to gather. God is at work. We are making a pledge to the Next Gen Campaign believing that God will use what He has given us to continue to change lives.
