Hello Church!

I have really been enjoying reading the book of John together.  I have read John several times in my life and have found it very theologically deep.  I joined in with this reading plan as an intentional, personal act of worship and a desire to engage God with others in community. My hope for the Church is that God would speak through His Word to each of us.

As I have read John with you all I have found Jesus to be a man who acted with purpose.  He is aware of the bigger picture, while at the same time seeing ordinary people facing ordinary struggles in life.  Not only did He see these struggles, He cared about them.  I have also found Jesus to be brave, He knew full well that the religious leaders were out to get Him and He never shied away from the mission before Him.  I have once again been amazed how different I am from Jesus and how humbled I am that He would seek to rescue me.

I hope you have found God’s Word refreshing to you too.  If you haven’t had the chance to join me in the Bible reading plan we are doing this fall, it’s never too late.

May God continue to speak to us through His Word!
