Hello New Life,

I read 1 Corinthians 1:28-31 recently and felt really challenged by it.

"God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something, so that no one can boast in his presence. He is the reason you have a relationship with Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'"

In the eyes of the world, we may at times be regarded as low or nothing or even despised. But in Jesus we have true wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. So let us be a church that doesn’t boast in the quality of our music, or groups, or facilities, or anything related to our own accomplishments, but a church and individuals who boast in Jesus Christ alone!
