Hello Church Family,

We began the Lent Season (the 40 days before Easter) with our Ash Wednesday Service, and yesterday at Sunday Service we said this confession together:

Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Our hope is that this confession helps us engage with repentance, to prepare our hearts for Lent and to anticipate the inspiring life, devastating death, and powerful resurrection of Jesus Christ. Would you consider daily reciting this confession this week to better prepare your heart, soul, and mind to worship Jesus more fully this Lent season?
